Christian Pulisic is on track for the best season of his career, concluding with a home World Cup in the United States.
The American standout scored AC Milan’s opening goal against Hellas Verona in Serie A on Sunday, taking his tally to 10 goals and two assists in 15 competitive games for the Rossoneri.

The win put Milan at the top of the Italian league, two points ahead of Inter Milan, who later visited Atalanta. Milan, coached by Massimiliano Allegri, have not lost in Serie A since losing to Cremonese in their opening game in August.
Pulisic volleyed home from close range at the right time in first-half stoppage time, as Adrien Rabiot headed home Luka Modric’s corner kick.
After the break, Christopher Nkunku converted a penalty for his first goal in Serie A, and added another four minutes later when Modric’s shot was deflected off the post by the goalkeeper.
Last season, Pulisic’s best performance to date was with 17 goals and 12 assists in 50 games.
Pulisic has contributed a total of 50 points (31 goals and 19 assists) since joining Milan in the 2023-24 season. Only rivals Inter’s Lautaro Martinez has played more games in the same period, and he is 53 years old.
The U.S. team will be hoping for that kind of production from Pulisic in front of his home fans ahead of the June 11-July 19 World Cup, which is also co-hosted by Canada and Mexico.
