Robert Lewandowski’s time at Barcelona continues to set historic records. Even before joining the Catalan club in 2022, the Polish forward spent 12 seasons in Germany, where his time with Borussia Dortmund established him as one of football’s brightest stars. Now he has surpassed even that.
The 37-year-old striker made 188 appearances with Rose against Getafe (0-2), more than his 187 at Dortmund, but his goal tally has given him another reason to celebrate.
Lewandowski surpasses me
The Polish star changed teams, but his scoring ability remained the same. According to Mundo Deportivo, together with Barra, the forward scored 118 goals (0.62 goals per game), surpassing the 103 goals he scored with Dortmund (0.55 goals per game).

His numbers thus confirm that even in the final stages of his career, Lewandowski remains very efficient in front of the net and has managed to improve his record in a shorter amount of time than he did in Germany.
That being said, there is one chapter in his professional career that is difficult to match. That was during his time at Bayern Munich. There he not only played 8 seasons, but also accumulated an amazing figure of 344 goals in 375 games, an average much higher than in other clubs (0.92 goals per game).
Meanwhile, his performances for Barcelona strengthen his legacy as one of modern football’s greatest goalscorers, adaptable and able to continue to make a difference even at the age of 37.
So far this season, Lewis has played 41 games, scoring 17 goals and providing four assists, totaling 2,118 minutes in all competitions.
However, Lewandowski could open a new chapter in his career. The striker’s contract with Barcelona runs until June 2026 and he has no shortage of offers, but he has not yet made a decision on his departure.
