Three historic tasks Cristiano Ronaldo wants to achieve before he retires: Messi has already reached the first task

IIf anyone thought Cristiano Ronaldo was thinking of retiring at the age of 41, they were dead wrong. His hunger for victory remains intact and he now faces three ambitious challenges that will make him one of the most special in football history.

The first and most immediate goal is to win the World Cup. This is the most coveted title missing from his record, a title held by Lionel Messi. The truth is that it will be difficult for him to achieve this with a Portuguese team that has never won a title and is not usually a favorite to win. The best condition to qualify for the World Cup is to reach the semi-finals (1966 and 2006)

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. wins Al Nasr U16 with hat-trick and stunning free kick

But Cristiano is not giving up anything in the United States, as the Portuguese national team has already achieved surprising results, winning the European Championship in 2016. Although he is not at the same level as he was a few years ago, he continues to make a difference to the team.

After the World Cup, Cristiano will continue his countdown to 1,000 goals. Al Nasr’s striker has already scored 970 goals and seems determined to carry on this impressive scoring record, as the one who wants it most is himself.

Meanwhile, Messi, who has 905 goals, doesn’t seem to be too obsessed with reaching 1,000 goals, given that he “gave” Otamendi a penalty a few weeks ago to bid farewell to the Argentina national team. This shows that he is not on the same page as Cristiano. The Argentine’s advantage is that he is younger than the Portuguese, but neither of them are considering retiring from football at the moment.

Cristiano, same as LeBron James and Bronny

The latest challenge on Cristiano’s path is the possibility of playing at the highest level alongside his son Cristiano Jr. A few days ago, it was reported that Al Nasr are considering promoting the star player’s eldest son to the first team so he can emulate Lakers’ LeBron James and Bronny.

In soccer, especially in the top league, there aren’t many cases where fathers and sons end up playing together on the same team. Cristiano Jr. will turn 16 in June, so he could fulfill his father’s dream and join him in making football history.
