Bayern Munich defeated Real Madrid with a 4-3 (6-4 aggregate) win at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, April 16th, to book their place in the Champions League semi-finals. This was a huge blow for merengue fans, but the club legend sent a clear message.

Sergio Ramos, one of the most iconic defenders and captains in the club’s history, shared some words on social media that serve not only as encouragement but also as a warning.

Ramos’ reaction after defeat against Bayern

The defender played for Real Madrid for 16 seasons (2005-2021) and left unforgettable moments in the memories and hearts of Madrid fans. Although he no longer wears the white jersey, he continues to maintain a special relationship with the club, evidence of which was his reaction when the Merengues were eliminated from the Champions League.

On his official Instagram account, Ramos shared a video featuring two iconic plays and a clear message packed with symbolism in a story. “Real Madrid always comes back…15,” he wrote, referring to the number of trophies won by the club.

The first video features the unforgettable header he scored in the 93rd minute against Bayern in Lisbon at the Allianz Arena in a 4-0 win and the club’s 10th Champions League title.

Another clip shows the first of two goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2-1 Champions League final of the 2016/17 season.

After his contract with Rayados de Monterrey expires on January 1, 2026, the defender will explore the possibility of acquiring Sevilla FC, with the aim of becoming the majority shareholder of the club where he played from 2003-2005 and 2023-2024. But these words reflect the emotional bond he still maintains with the club.

It is not the first time Ramos has spoken along these lines, but his message comes amid criticism and suspicion surrounding the Whites, especially after recent results that have cast doubt on the Whites’ performance, which could see them finish the season without winning the title.

Ramos’ message is clear. Despite the difficult times, Real Madrid will never give up. It is a stern warning that goes far beyond words of faith.

Following their recent Champions League quarter-final defeat, Real Madrid will shift their focus to La Liga and will host Deportivo Arabs at the Santiago Bernab on Tuesday, April 21st at 3:30pm ET. The team is currently in second place, nine points behind Barcelona.
