CColombia’s path to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is already set, and for many fans the most important thing is not only the opponents, but when and where they can follow the team.
After the official draw held on December 5, 2025, Nestor Lorenzo’s team will be placed in Group K, with three matches to be played in cities important to the Latino community in Mexico and the United States.
The first match marks the beginning of the journey.

Colombia will play Uzbekistan on Wednesday, June 17th at the Estadio Banorte in Mexico City. This match will be the national team’s first appearance.
After the first steps, the team will return to action in a few days
On Tuesday 23 June, Colombia will face the Democratic Republic of the Congo at Guadalajara’s Akron Stadium in a match that could decide the direction of the group.
The group stage will finally come to an end with a high-level match.
On Saturday, June 27th, Colombia will play Portugal at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, a venue where the presence of Colombian fans from the United States and Latin American fans will be strongly felt.
Each match not only represents a different opponent, but also an important city within the tournament, giving it a close presence for teams chasing Colombia from the United States.
Mexico will lead the way, and the United States will be the closing star, creating a calendar that connects directly with fans living outside the country.
