TThe first leg of the Champions League quarter-final between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich is heating up. The Germans are lighting a fire. Following Matthäus’ criticism of Vinicius, another former Germany player has slammed the Spanish international.
Among other things, former Bayern and Liverpool player Markus Babbel was asked for his opinion on Real Madrid, and the current commentator did not hesitate to criticize the Spanish club harshly. “Real Madrid are the most unpleasant club in Europe and it would be great if Bayern could get through,” he told Sky90.
He added: “In my opinion, their behavior in recent years has been extremely unsportsmanlike. It has nothing to do with fair play anymore, I feel like they think they are better than others and consider themselves better people. That annoys me very much and creates a complete antipathy towards them.”

Babbel recalled when Real Madrid did not attend the Ballon d’Or gala because Vinicius did not win the award, saying: “We are not going to boycott the event as a team even if one of our players did not win the Ballon d’Or. I think it is a lack of respect for other players and that is why the club has lost so much respect for me. I think they are incredibly unpleasant.”
And just like Matthus, the former footballer does not hesitate to criticize Vinicius. “There are some players in their ranks that I don’t like. Vinicius, when I look at the way he plays football and his talent, and when I watch him roll and roll 14 times with every move, I don’t like it at all.”
