TFIFA President Gianni Infantino’s schedule in Mexico remains busy, with a visit to Mexico City’s Zócalo on Monday to meet with President Claudia Sheinbaum and Government Secretary Clara Brugada ahead of the start of the World Cup.
Gianni Infantino has been very active since his arrival in Mexico, first visiting the Estadio de Monterrey for a play-off match, then also visiting Guadalajara, opening a themed museum in the mayor’s office in Ixtapalapa, and of course being instrumental in the reopening of the Estadio Azteca (now Estadio Banorte).

After his meeting with Claudia Sheinbaum, he left the National Palace for a meeting with Clara Brugada. The moment was captured on video after an agenda that forced him to stop in the capital primarily for the reopening of the Estadio Azteca and, of course, to coordinate details with the authorities ahead of the start of the World Cup, not to mention also attending a play-off match.
