DGood news for Al Nasr. After successfully completing their respective recovery programs, team doctor Carlos Miguel cleared Sadio Mann as well as Cristiano Ronaldo to return to training.

As a result, both stars are expected to be available for the match on April 3 when Al Nasr host Al Najma SC at Al Awal Park in the Saudi Pro League, currently leading the standings and chasing the title.

Jorge Jesus welcomes Cristiano and Mann back

The Senegalese star injured his ankle during training on March 12, but has completed physical training, including running and strength exercises.

Meanwhile, Cristiano suffered a hamstring injury in the 3-1 win against Al Faiha on February 28 and was forced to be substituted. As a result, CR7 not only missed the games against Neom SC and Al Khalidi, but was also left out of Portugal’s squad for the FIFA World Cup warm-up friendly against Mexico (held on March 28, 0-0) and against the USMNT (held on March 31 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta).

According to Aliyadhiya (h/t GOAL), the 41-year-old Portuguese star is now ready to return to action after completing his rehabilitation in Madrid and Riyadh.

Despite being sidelined since late February, Ronaldo has played in 26 games this season, including 22 in the Saudi League, two in the Super Cup, one in the AFC Champions League and one in the Saudi Cup, scoring 22 goals and providing four assists.

The news is a boost for the team, who will be competing for the title with eight games remaining. Additionally, his return to the field will take some pressure off as he prepares for the 2026 World Cup, to be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada from June 11 to July 19, which both stars have said will be their final appearances.

Portugal’s World Cup opener will be in Houston on June 17th against the winner of the intercontinental play-off between Democratic Republic of the Congo and Jamaica (to be decided this Tuesday, March 31st) in Group K, which also includes Uzbekistan and Colombia.

Meanwhile, Senegal will be in Group I with Norway and France, and will play their opening game on June 16th at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The third opponent will come from the intercontinental playoff between Iraq and Bolivia on Tuesday, March 31st.
