TLionel Messi’s influence on U.S. soccer continues to break records. After scoring an astonishing 35 goals to win the club’s first ever league title, the Argentine star contributed to an unprecedented commercial partnership. Inter Miami and Adidas have officially announced a five-year contract extension that redefines the economic landscape of Major League Soccer.
Messi pushes for new multi-million dollar deal between Adidas and Inter Miami
Since “10” joined the team in July 2023, the growth of the Miami team has been remarkable. The new deal not only ensures the brand’s continuation as the main sponsor, but also a monumental physical presence at the club’s new home, the New Stadium, which opens on April 4th for the much-anticipated match against Austin FC.
“As part of the deal, adidas will have a strong presence within Inter Miami CF’s new world-class home, Estadio Nu,” they explained in a statement.
“This two-story store will be the premier retail destination for fans,” the team’s official website states.
Inter Miami’s new stadium debut
With the final turf installation and state-of-the-art design, Estadio New will be able to seat more than 26,000 spectators (up from Chase Stadium’s 21,550).
The inauguration of the stadium on April 4th is not only a sporting event, but also proof that the Messi-led project has turned Miami into the country’s soccer capital.
There is no doubt that Messi’s impact on the pitch has been significant, but the Argentine’s provocation on the pitch was something rarely seen in the world of football.
