Who will be the youngest goalscorer in Europe’s top five leagues after Arsenal’s Max Domann breaks Premier League record?

TEmirates is buzzing with a level of trust not seen in North London since the days of Invincibles. Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Everton this week was more than just three points. It was a psychological blow for Manchester City.

The Gunners secured victory with two late goals and are now at the top of the table with a nine-point difference. City have a game in hand, but with just seven games remaining in this grueling Premier League season, Mikel Arteta’s side are looking increasingly like a group that refuses to blink.

Attention quickly turns to Tuesday night. The Gunners will host Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16. The stakes are very high. If Arsenal progress, it will be the third consecutive season under Arteta that they have reached at least the quarter-finals.

North London’s new king: Max Dorman breaks Premier League goalscoring record

The win against Everton was a statement of commitment to the title race, but it was also an ‘I was there’ moment for the history books. Arsenal’s 16-year-old prodigy Max Dauman has broken records by becoming the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history at just 16 years and 73 days old.

Dauman’s calm finish in the final minutes didn’t just secure him the points. This officially ends the 21-year reign of James Vaughan, who had held the record since 2005 (16 years and 270 days since scoring against Crystal Palace for Everton). Everton appear to be hoping to add to that record.

Dauman is fast becoming the ultimate ‘cheat code’ for Arsenal’s academy. This historic strike came just months after he became the youngest player to debut in a Champions League game in September, aged 15 years and 308 days.

His ability to influence games at the highest level, not only as a passenger but also as a clinical finisher, suggests that the hype surrounding him is not just PR, but a true generational change in English football.

Elite 5: Youngest scorer in the history of Europe’s top leagues

Dorman’s name is now etched in gold in England, with fans looking across the continent to see how he differs from the previous ‘baby-faced assassins’ in Europe’s top five leagues. Dauman’s record is incredible, but he still ranks just behind some legends in the overall European hierarchy.
