Lamine Yamal continues to attract attention both on and off the pitch, and one of the memorabilia of his historic debut for FC Barcelona is currently worth more than 100,000 euros.
Widely regarded as one of the most exciting talents in world football, the young star impressed fans once again with a stunning goal against Athletic Club at Saint Mams Stadium. But while his performances continue to make headlines, unusual stories involving Collector are also gaining attention.
Yamal made his debut for Barcelona’s first team on 29 April 2023 against Real Betis.
At the time, he was only 15 years, 9 months and 16 days old, making him the youngest player to debut in La Liga for Barcelona in the 21st century.
The winger replaced Gabi in the 88th minute, wearing the number 41 shirt. Although he only played for a few minutes, he quickly showed glimpses of his talent and almost scored his first goal after a save from Rui Silva.
This moment immediately became a historic milestone for both the player and the club.
Debut shorts now worth 100,000 euros
As is often the case with historic sporting moments, collectors immediately began searching for items related to Yamal’s debut.
According to a report picked up by DAZN, a family in Cologne claims to own the shorts Yamal wore in his first appearance for Barcelona.
The father and son, who are said to be big fans of the young winger, have revealed they are willing to sell the shorts, but for just six figures.
“These are his debut shorts, the ones he wore when he was 15,” his father explained.
“I’m selling it for 100,000. Not for less.”
The family said they have been collecting items related to Yamal since his early days in the soccer world.
“We collect everything from Lamine Yamal,” his father said in an interview, stressing that his interest began when the player was just 15 years old.
Among the items in their collection is Yamal’s first autographed Mega Crack trading card, another piece they believe has the potential to increase in value as the player’s career continues to grow.
Yamal, who currently wears the number 10 shirt for Barcelona, is widely regarded as one of the most promising players in European football.
Despite being only 18 years old, he is already a key player at the club, often taking on key responsibilities in big matches.
The Cologne-born collector even made bold predictions about the young winger’s future.
“Lamin will be the greatest player of all time,” the Collector declared.
Such a claim may sound ambitious, but Yamal’s rapid rise has already made his early career moments, including his debut shorts, highly valuable to collectors and fans alike.
