Cristiano Ronaldo’s career has been marked by his goals, feats and titles that have made thousands of headlines. However, on this occasion, CR7 decided to step away from the spotlight to pay tribute to the women in his life.
Her mother María Dolores dos Santos Aveiro and her sisters Elma and Katia have supported Bicho’s career from the beginning. His future wife Georgina Rodriguez and daughters filled his life with even more happiness. Now he has decided to highlight them on International Women’s Day.
CR7 sends a powerful message to the women in your life
The Al Nasr captain shared five photos with the most important women in his life on Sunday, March 8, on his official Instagram account with his over 672 million followers.
The post featured Georgina Rodriguez, who focused on his future wife, his partner for more than 10 years. Next, it was the turn of daughters Alana Martina and Eva Mara, 8, and Bella Esmeralda, 3, to sit around the table at the family celebration. His mother and sisters also took part in the memorial.
“Surrounded by strong women! Gio, my daughters, my mother, my sisters… I am grateful every day. Happy Women’s Day!” the Portuguese player wrote in the caption of the post.
The post quickly won the hearts of followers, and messages of support poured in. As of this writing, it has already received over 7.9 million likes.
Meanwhile, Cristiano finally asked his girlfriend to be his wife on August 10, 2025, after about 10 years together. The family is currently preparing to celebrate the marriage of the soccer star and the 32-year-old businessman. The wedding will take place in Ronaldo’s hometown of Madeira, and Gio revealed that despite his huge popularity, it will be a small wedding.
Geo and CR7 form a family that goes beyond biological genes. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner already welcomed son Cristiano Jr. in 2010.
They met in 2016 at the Gucci store where Georgina worked. The pair eventually started dating and welcomed twins Eva Maria and Mateo (via surrogate) in 2017, followed by daughter Alana Martina in the same year. In April 2022, the couple was due to give birth to twins Bella Esmeralda and Angel, but their joy was ruined by the death of their baby boy.
Meanwhile, surrounded by the love and support of his family, CR7 continues to recover from a hamstring injury sustained in Al Nasr’s 3-1 win over Al Faiha and is expected to miss the match against Al Khaleej, leaving him in doubt for Portugal’s last two friendlies before the World Cup against Mexico and USMNT on March 28 and 31 respectively.
