TIt is often said that children look like their parents, and Leo’s son Ciro Messi seems to confirm this. The youngster has developed great abilities in playing football and is already drawing comparisons with his father, especially after winning a tournament with Inter Miami’s academy and celebrating just like Lionel did at the World Cup in Qatar.
Messi’s entire family is involved in football, but it is Ciro who has done the best on the field, and now that he has won the tournament, he is under pressure to become the next great for Inter Miami’s youth team.
Ciro Messi copied his father’s celebration in Qatar
Ciro Messi is only seven years old and has already won his first championship with Inter Miami’s youth team. Leo Messi’s son shined on the pitch, already breaking records with his goals and great plays, but it was his celebrations that got the most attention.
Inter Miami’s academy posted a video via social media showing Inter Miami’s under-8 team celebrating, with Ciro essentially emulating his father when they won the World Cup, who was in charge of carrying and lifting the trophy.
In the video, Ciro can be seen walking slowly with the trophy and enthusiastically lifting it. The social media post received a “like” from his mother Antonella. Like Leo, he must be very proud to see his son win.
The day Messi spoke about the characteristics of his child’s soccer
Leo Messi is quite modest about his personal life, but a while ago he made a statement to several media outlets talking about how his children are playing football.
“Thiago is more thoughtful, organized, more of a midfielder. Mateo is more of a forward, likes to score goals, likes to get close to the goal, plays smartly. And Ciro is more explosive, more of a one-on-one player. He is more of a playmaker,” Messi explained.
Messi has always made it clear that he does not want to pressure his children to become footballers, but looking at Ciro’s level, he appears to be on the path to becoming a new star.
