aThe United States, Mexico and Canada will host 104 Super Bowls next summer, with each game in the 2026 World Cup playing a central role in the National Football League’s prestigious championship, according to Italian FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
But beyond those words, the fact is that we already know that the real Super Bowl LX will be played in 2026 between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., home to the world’s premier national team tournament.

The Super Bowl has been held every year since 1967, and the World Cup has been held every four years since 1930, but was suspended from 1938 to 1950 due to World War II. If you do the math, that means that in 14 years there has been a Super Bowl champion, winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy in every case, and a men’s soccer world champion winning the FIFA World Cup in 13 of those years, with the exception of Mexico in 1970, when it was still the Jules Rimet Trophy.
