Laporta wanted to speak to the media hours before Barcelona face Copenhagen in a bid to advance to the last eight of the Champions League group stage.
“We’re not just trying to win, we’re trying to get into the top eight. That’s our goal. What we’re trying to do today is play well and try to win. And, like I said, we have to score goals, because I think goals will be important in determining who gets into the top eight,” Laporta said.

“We have to win today. If we win and we don’t, we will continue to fight and go to the last 16. But I believe we can win tonight,” the Blaugrana president said without hesitation when asked about the controversy that arose against Oviedo over the leak at the Camp Nou.
The weather may not be great, but it’s not bad to get wet anyway.
“It’s going to rain, so we have to cover the rain. How was it the other day? Well, I got wet (laughs). But it’s normal for people to go to the stadium, and it’s also a great show. Watching Barça is the best football show you can see in the world today, with the players we have and the atmosphere,” Laporta said.
The Blaugrana president wished it a great night, saying: “I think today we will have a great match in the Champions League, the most important football competition in the world. That said, the weather may not be great, but in any case it’s not so sad to get wet.”
