Georgina Rodriguez recently made headlines for attending an exclusive White House screening of Melania, the long-awaited documentary film about First Lady Melania Trump.
A private event held in Washington, D.C. on Saturday brought together international celebrities, politicians and influential business leaders to give the film a first look ahead of its official release.
Rodriguez, best known as the partner of soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, shared some photos from the night with his millions of followers on Instagram.
The photos included one of her posing in front of the documentary’s official poster inside the White House and Melania Trump addressing the audience from a large screen.
In her post, Rodriguez expressed her admiration for the first lady and the documentary, saying, “I was so lucky to be able to attend the premiere. It was an emotional and memorable experience. Congratulations to Melania Trump for the work behind the film and for bringing it to life with such presence and sensitivity.”
Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and directed by Brett Ratner, the documentary Melania explores the first lady’s life and role in the 20 days leading up to Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration on January 20, 2025.
The film provides an in-depth glimpse into her personal and professional experiences, providing audiences with insight into her responsibilities and behind-the-scenes work at the highest levels of American politics. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 30, 2026.
Famous guests attending the White House screening
The White House event drew notable attendees. In addition to Rodriguez, guests included global technology leaders such as Apple CEO Tim Cook, Zoom CEO Eric Yuan, and AMD chief Lisa Su.
Royalty and entertainment figures such as Queen Rania of Jordan and former professional boxer Mike Tyson were in attendance, as well as acclaimed photographer Ellen von Unwerth, who shot the documentary’s official poster. The combination of notable figures highlighted the event’s blend of political, cultural and celebrity appeal.
The screening was not Rodriguez’s first visit to the White House. She previously accompanied Ronaldo to a meeting with Donald Trump in the Oval Office last November.
The couple also attended a gala dinner hosted by President Trump in honor of the Saudi crown prince, reflecting their international presence and continued involvement in high-profile social and diplomatic circles.
The White House premiere of First Lady Melania, which is expected to be officially released later this month, highlighted the documentary’s unique perspective on the first lady’s life and demonstrated Rodriguez’s continued influence on the global social stage.
