The local government of Salamanca, led by Julio César Ernesto Prieto Gallardo, the mayor of Salamanca, a member of the National Renewal Movement (MORENA), immediately condemned the incident and issued a statement announcing, among other things, that of the 11 people who lost their lives, 10 died in the same location; More passed away while receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.

The Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the cause of the shooting in Salamanca.
In a statement on social networks, the Attorney General’s Office of the state of Guanajuato said: “From the first moment when the facts came to light, the Prosecutor’s Office deployed staff of the Prosecutor’s Office, criminal investigators and specialized personnel to process the scene, collect evidence, prepare specialized reports and carry out the corresponding ministerial procedures, with the aim of preserving evidence, ensuring technical and scientific investigation, and laying a solid foundation for the identification and punishment of those responsible.”
