The Inter Miami co-owner was contacted by a Sky News reporter on Tuesday while attending the World Economic Forum’s 56th Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. As Beckham posed for a photo with a female fan, a reporter asked him if he had a message for his son, Brooklyn Beckham, after the younger Beckham made critical social media posts about his parents.
David Beckham’s stance on public backlash
Beckham briefly turned to face reporters, but continued walking without responding. The 50-year-old did not look back or engage when the question was repeated, followed by one about whether he was disappointed that family matters were being aired publicly.
The moment came a day after Brooklyn Beckham posted multiple slides to his Instagram Story accusing his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of being “controlling.” In the post, the 26-year-old detailed his long-standing strained relationship with his family, including allegations of strained communication and conflict over his wife, actress Nicola Peltz.
Ms. Brooklyn claimed that when she tried to meet her father, the condition was that Mr. Peltz not be present, which she characterized as extremely hurtful. He also claimed that his family refused to meet him during his visit to Los Angeles. The “Cooking with Brooklyn” host also reiterated earlier reports that Victoria Beckham canceled plans to make Peltz’s wedding dress right before the ceremony and accused her of inappropriate behavior during the wedding, which caused a lot of tension.
Brooklyn stands up for his wife
