TIt’s time to say goodbye, a farewell that has probably been postponed too long, but given the existing circumstances, the operation was not so bad for the hero of this story
Marc-Andre ter Stegen bids farewell to 12 years of experience with clear Blaugrana colours. The German, captain and dressing room leader, spent his final moments as a Kühl anxious, to the point where he was forced to find a way out in order to achieve two fundamental objectives: to be close to his family and to play in a way that Julian Nagelsmann and Rudi Voller would remember him at the World Cup.
Kylian Mbapp coaches Thibaut Courtois with a great goal
His farewell letter on social media conveys a deep love and attachment to the club, but as he himself recalls, it also means that he did not want to leave the club but was well aware that he had no choice but to do so in order to move on and continue his path. But he remembers that it’s “only for the rest of the season.”
farewell letter
Today is my last day of the season with my teammates and coaching staff at FC Barcelona, and to be honest, I have mixed feelings. A lot of memories and emotions come back to me right now. For almost 12 years this club, and especially that dressing room, has been my home. It’s where I grew as a player and person and experienced some unforgettable moments. I am truly grateful and proud. I love this club, that city, that country.
I continue to have feelings that will never fade. Your support over the years has been truly amazing, and I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Backstage: Thank you for all the years of togetherness, laughter, battles and respect. I’ll take you. I have had the great honor of wearing the Captain’s Armband and will carry it with me forever. Now my journey continues in Catalonia and I’m really looking forward to what’s to come.
We wish them the best of luck for the rest of the season and look forward to winning many more trophies. see you soon
