The comment came a day after Brooklyn Beckham posted multiple slides on her Instagram Story, accusing her parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of being controlling. In the post, the 26-year-old said there had been long-standing tensions within his family, including strained communication and ongoing conflict in his relationship with his wife, actress Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn claimed that when she tried to meet her father, the condition was that Peltz not be present, describing the situation as a “slap in the face.” He also claimed that his family refused to meet him when he later traveled to Los Angeles.

Brooklyn also accused Victoria Beckham of canceling plans to have Peltz’s wedding dress made just before the wedding and of acting inappropriately during the ceremony, repeating previous reports that the incident caused great tension between the family.
In a statement, Brooklyn defended Peltz against suggestions that he had influenced her relationship with her parents. He wrote that being away from his family, with whom he had spent most of his life, reduced his anxiety and allowed him to find peace. Brooklyn and Peltz began dating in 2019, married in 2022, and renewed their vows in a ceremony in August 2025. Brooklyn said the intention was to replace the painful memories of their original wedding day.
Although Beckham did not directly respond to his son’s claims, his comments on CNBC emphasized his belief in responsibility, growth, and learning, especially in how the public platform is used as the family navigates a very public moment.
