SSince joining MLS with Inter Miami in July 2023, Lionel Messi has continued his legacy by scoring over 70 goals, assisting 44 times, winning titles such as the 2023 League Cup, the 2024 MLS Supporters’ Shield, and most recently becoming the first ever Major League Soccer champion.
However, among the rivals, Leo has scored the most goals against two teams.

Favorite team for Messi to score against
The Inter Miami captain is the second highest scorer in history with 896 goals, behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s 958 goals.
Lionel has scored 115 goals for Argentina so far, but his most goals scored was 672 during his time at Barcelona. He scored 32 goals for Paris Saint-Germain and has already scored 77 points in 88 games for the MLS club.
However, when the league’s official X account (formerly Twitter) released the distribution of 50 goals scored by “10” players, there was one point in particular that attracted attention.
The truth is, Leo has scored seven times against two teams, the New England Revolution and Nashville SC, who are his favorite victims and the ones against whom he has scored the most goals.
Rounding out the top three are New York Red Bulls, who have conceded five goals to the Argentine.
Despite this, there are seven teams that have allowed only one goal to Leo: Minnesota United FC, Charlotte FC, Colorado Rapids, Sporting Kansas City, Seattle Sounders FC, St. Louis City SC, and Toronto FC.
Meanwhile, Messi and Inter Miami are preparing for the 2026 season, in which they will have to defend their title, inaugurate a new stadium (Miami Freedom Park) and rearrange the games and roster, which will no longer include stars such as Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
