Mr. Scaloni acknowledged that he had already been criticized for some of the photos, but that was not the point. The coach met with several players, but it was his meeting with Messi that attracted the most attention. “When I saw the images in the photos, I was a little irritated. Regarding Messi’s presence at the World Cup, Scaloni explained that there is no need to put pressure on him and that he will wait and see. “We talked about a lot of things, but we didn’t talk about it (the World Cup) because there’s still time. And we don’t want to overwhelm him, we want to leave him alone and let him make the decisions he has to make. And with that in mind, we’ll think about the interests of the team.”
