IInter Miami is starting to evaluate the possibility of signing new players in order to face everything that will happen in 2026. Although the team secured contract renewals for Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, they have lost two great players in Busquets and Jordi Alba and are now looking back to Europe in search of a leader.
After a great 2025, Miami know they need to be champions again and look for new players to succeed, so the team they have in mind is Atletico Madrid, who have two players they would like to take to MLS.
Inter Miami wants to sign two Atletico Madrid stars
Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano is looking for new quality reinforcements and, according to MARCA, there are two names he really likes. They are Atletico Madrid players Antoine Griezmann and Koke Resurreción, whose contracts with the Spanish team are about to expire.
Griezmann himself has always signaled that he wants to play in MLS, so Griezmann’s departure is not that surprising. His contract runs until 2027, but given that he no longer plays such a big role in the Spanish team, it is possible that they may end their relationship by then.
Koke’s situation is different. The Spaniard is Atlético Madrid’s reference and captain, and although he has not yet renewed his contract, it is very likely that he will do so soon as he is a very important player for Simeone.
Inter Miami signs MLS’s best goalkeeper
Inter Miami’s market is very active and they have recently confirmed the arrival of new reinforcements. That’s Dane St. Clair, one of the best goalkeepers in MLS in 2025, who comes in to compete for a starting spot.
Inter Miami’s new goalkeeper said in a video: “I’m very excited to join the team and represent them both on and off the field. I can’t wait to meet them and start preparing to win trophies.”
Dane St. Clair, 28, is poised to make a big leap right before the World Cup, with the goaltender hoping to continue making an impact on the field as Canada’s starter.
