IInter Miami continues to strengthen its squad in order to continue winning titles and has now confirmed through a statement the addition of Dane St. Clair, one of the best goalkeepers in MLS and a strong candidate to be Canada’s starting goalkeeper at the next World Cup.
Messi’s side are looking to continue to strengthen their squad for the challenges that lie ahead in 2026, but if there’s one thing they’ve been missing, it’s a quality and predictable goalkeeper, so the Miami side are happy with this new addition, slowly renewing a squad that continues to be filled with star players.

Inter Miami signs one of the best goalkeepers in MLS
Dane St. Clair joined from Minnesota United, where he was a key player, but after his contract expired and he became a free agent, Inter Miami took advantage of the opportunity and didn’t hesitate to make him an offer he couldn’t refuse.
“I’m very excited to join the club and represent them both on and off the field. I can’t wait to meet them and start preparing to win trophies. See you soon,” the goalkeeper said in a video posted by Inter Miami.
St. Clair’s performance was very good in MLS, with a save percentage of 77.93%, 113 saves and a clean sheet in 10 of the 30 games in the first phase.
Goalkeeper with World Cup dreams
Not only is St Clair fulfilling his dream of becoming Messi’s teammate and joining a club that wants to continue winning important matches, he is also moving closer to becoming a starter at the next World Cup.
It’s almost a given that the 28-year-old will be Canada’s starting goalkeeper at the 2026 World Cup after coming on as a substitute at the 2022 Qatar tournament. The athlete has significantly improved his performance and should be at the top of the competition if nothing goes wrong.
Everything is going well for St. Clair to maintain his place among the best in MLS, and his decision to go to Miami seems to be the right one, as in a World Cup year it is important to get noticed.
