TThe winners of the Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 will be announced on Tuesday 16 December 2025 at 20:00 local time (18:00 CET) in a special ceremony that will be streamed live on FIFA.com from Doha, Qatar.
On the eve of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup match between Paris Saint-Germain and CR Flamengo at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, the 2025 Best Player and Coach will be announced at the FIFA Gala Dinner at Katara Hall in the Fairmont Hotel complex in Doha. Prior to that, the awards for Best Fan or Supporter, Goalkeeper and Goal, and Fair Play Awards will also be announced via a video published on FIFA’s portal and social networks.

Among the candidates for the men’s The Best award are Blaugrana players Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Raphinha. Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé, current European champions Paris Saint-Germain players Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, current Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele, and 2025 Africa’s best player Achraf Hakimi.
In the women’s category, Barcelona’s Patri Guhiharo, Aitana Bommatti, Eva Pahor, Claudia Pina, Alexia Putelas and Arsenal’s European champion Mariona Caldenti are nominated.
Other nominees include Javier Aguirre (Mexico), Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Luis Enrique (Paris Saint-Germain), Hansi Flick (Barcelona), Enzo Maresca (Chelsea), Roberto Martínez (Portugal) and Arne Slott (Liverpool).
The dinner will bring together 800 guests, including the FIFA President, members of the FIFA Council, FIFA Legends, representatives of member associations from around the world, other local and regional representatives and notable figures from the world of football.
16 million votes
As always, more than 16 million votes from fans helped select the winners in various categories, including Best FIFA Women’s Player, Best FIFA Men’s Player, Best FIFA Women’s Coach, Best FIFA Men’s Coach, Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper and Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper. The winner was determined by a system that gives equal weight to fan votes. Current captain and coach of the men’s and women’s national teams. And media personnel too. Fans also voted in the “The Best FIFA Women’s XI” and “The Best FIFA Men’s XI” categories.

Winners of the FIFA Fan Award were determined solely by fans, and winners of the FIFA Fair Play Award were determined by a panel of experts.
