aAt the summit in New York, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) was featured in a prestigious brand finance report, ranking it as the most valuable sports federation on the planet and one of the most influential brands in world sport.
This recognition, awarded to industry leaders, international representatives, branding experts and authorities in the global sports ecosystem, strengthens AFA’s position within a select group of brands with the best reputations, global influence and sustained growth.

AFA: The Most Valuable Federation on Earth
Brand Finance research, the global benchmark for brand valuation and strength, typically does not include or highlight sports federations. The fact that AFA was not only recognized, but published and analyzed on the consulting firm’s own official platform represents an unprecedented milestone in the world of sports. Typically, only brands like Apple, Nike, Amazon, and other global giants can achieve this level of organizational visibility within brand finance.
During the event, AFA presented the impact of the Argentine national team in strengthening its internationalization strategy, sustainable growth in global markets, and a modern and competitive sports brand with expansion capabilities.
“This recognition confirms recent efforts to position AFA among the world’s elite. Today, the AFA brand is a competitive, global asset that is attractive to audiences, sponsors and international platforms,” they stressed during the event.
The conference attracted more than 200 guests, including representatives from the sports, communications and entertainment industries, as well as global companies, agencies and organizations. The event’s main speaker was Leandro Petersen, AFA’s Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer, who led the presentation of the report and outlined the brand’s international forecasts.
Key figures from the national sports project were also in attendance, including Roberto “Latton” Ayala, a member of the coaching staff of the world champions, and Emiliano “Dib” Marnes also made a special appearance via an exclusive video conference. The event was hosted by AFA legend Sergio Goicochea.
