Manchester United News: Christian Pulisic is reportedly on the radar of Manchester United, but it remains unclear whether Pochettino will take him to the World Cup

SSince moving from Chelsea to AC Milan in the summer of 2023 for around 20 million euros, Christian Pulisic has undergone a remarkable resurgence in his career.

After struggling to find consistent playing time in England, the American international found a new rhythm in Serie A, using his combination of pace, creativity and decisiveness to become a key figure in Milan’s attack.

Inter Miami celebrates epic victory with 5-1 win over New York FC

In his first full season at the club, Pulisic finished as the team’s top scorer with 17 goals across all competitions, indicating his growing influence and importance.

Pulisic’s contribution goes beyond the scoresheet. He has become a versatile threat who can play across the front, with an eye for goal and the ability to create chances for his teammates. His performances have been praised by pundits and club officials alike, with many calling him “integral” to Milan’s attacking identity.

This period at Milan represents a real renaissance in his career for a player who once struggled to make a lasting impression at Chelsea.

However, Pulisic’s future at the club is currently being carefully considered. Milan are keen to renew his contract, but the 28-year-old has yet to commit to an extension. His current contract runs until 2027, with an option for a further year, and the club have offered him a pay rise from €4.4m net per season to around €5.5m.

Nevertheless, Pulisic has expressed concern that Milan cannot guarantee consistent Champions League football, which he believes is an important factor at this stage of his career.

Stay or look for a new challenge?

At this crossroads, Pulisic has to make an important decision. If he remains at Milan, he could remain a key figure in the team’s attack, but uncertainty over competition on the continent could limit his ambitions. Reports suggest that multiple clubs are monitoring his situation and that he is seeking alternatives.

A return to the Premier League, where he previously played for Chelsea, would give him familiarity and potentially give him the chance to compete elsewhere in European football. Manchester United and Aston Villa have both been mentioned as possible destinations, but neither are currently scheduled to feature regularly in the Champions League.

Another option is a move to Bayern Munich, where Pulisic could join a team looking to replace departed players such as Serge Gnabry. Such a move could bring stability and ambition, the perfect blend of top-level European football and a role that suits his style.

Pulisic’s next move will likely define the second half of his career as he enters what many consider to be his peak years. Either way, Pulisic has re-established himself as a top-level player, and with the World Cup set to take place on American soil next summer, the chance for his career to really take off is well within the realm of possibility.
