Twente footballer Gilles Lord, who played for Arsenal, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg, has caused a scandal in the sporting world by using an intimate photo session with Dutch Olympic field hockey player Pien Saunders to reveal how their relationship began before breaking up with his former partner.

The Dutch players have been dating for nine months but have faced criticism for how their relationship started. When they met, they were both in different relationships.
“We both made decisions that surprised others, and we knew that. But at the end of the day, you have to live with yourself until you’re 80. After that, the most important thing is to be happy,” Jill Lord explained.
Ruhrrd dated the Spanish national soccer player for two years, while Saunders dated her then-boyfriend, fellow field hockey player Theis van Dam, for 10 years.
Sanders broke up with Van Dam a few days later, claiming he had been attracted to women for some time.
