ICristiano Ronaldo, captain of the Portuguese national team, admitted in a recent interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored that he wants to marry Georgina Rodriguez after the FIFA World Cup, the biggest tournament in soccer.
Having secured a spot in the event, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be breaking with an old tradition as he continues to prepare for his big day.

CR7 and Georgina don’t follow the rules on their wedding day
After almost 10 years of dating, Cristiano proposed to his girlfriend in August 2025, and Georgina shared the news on her official Instagram account with a photo of her hand wearing a stunning engagement ring with a large diamond.
As preparations for the wedding are currently underway, it has been revealed that the ceremony will not take place in Rodriguez’s home country of Argentina, as is customary. According to Portuguese media Correio da Man, CR7 wants to get married in his home island of Madeira.
The couple is also reportedly planning an intimate ceremony to take place after the World Cup and before the start of the next Saudi league season.
The Al Nasr captain met Rodriguez in 2016 when Cristiano entered the Gucci store in Madrid where Georgina worked. She worked for him and it was love at first sight. They confirmed their relationship in November of the same year.
Cristiano Ronaldo already had a son, Cristiano Jr., before he met Georgina, but she considers him another son, as he writes in his Instagram description: “Mom of six blessings.”
In 2017, a year after they started dating, the couple welcomed twins Eva and Mateo (via surrogate) and daughter Alana Martina. Although they welcomed their daughter, Bella Esmeralda, in April 2022, the loss of one of their twins, Angel, deeply affected their family, but also made them stronger.
In an interview with Morgan, CR7 revealed that it was his daughters who encouraged him to take the long-awaited step and propose to Georgina, which he clearly recalls emotionally.
Meanwhile, Cristiano and Al Nasr are preparing to face FC Istiklol Dushanbe in the fifth leg of the AFC Cup group stage on Wednesday, November 26th.
