Haiti and Iran are among the 42 teams that have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, and their delegations will be able to enter the country despite being on the list of banned countries, but it will be difficult for many fans to accompany them into the stands.
A statement from US President Donald Trump said the entry ban would exclude “athletes and members of sports teams, including coaches, essential support workers, and immediate family members, traveling for the World Cup, Olympics, or other major sporting events.”

However, current legislation would make it difficult for many fans from Haiti and Iran to travel to the United States to follow their teams.
The 2026 World Cup will be held for the first time from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Mexico and Canada with 48 teams participating.
The group stage draw will be held on December 5th in Washington, DC.
