IOn one of the most dramatic nights in Scottish football history, Kieran Tierney’s stunning late strike and Kenny McLean’s lob deep into stoppage time from a stranded Kasper Schmeichel near the half-time line gave Scotland a 4-2 win over Denmark and a ticket to the 2026 World Cup.
Scotland, who had not qualified for football’s biggest tournament since 1998, secured automatic qualification with a rollercoaster performance at Hampden Park.

“We’re going to the World Cup. It’s not bad,” he said with a quiet smile, realizing the magnitude of what they had accomplished.
