Aitana Bommatti aims to win for the third year in a row
Vinicius (the current winner), Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Rafinha, Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah, Lautaro Martínez, Florian Wertz and Cole Palmer are among the candidates for the best player award. In the women’s category, Aitana Bommatti is aiming to win the Player of the Year award for the third year in a row, but will face competition from team-mates Patri Guhiharo, Alexia Putelas, Caroline Graham Hansen, Claudia Pina, Eva Pahor, Lucy Bronze and Lauren Hampton (Chelsea), as well as Chloe Kelly, Alessia Russo and Lea Williamson. Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema nominated for Middle East Player of the Year award
Cristiano will compete for the Middle East Player of the Year award alongside Al Dausari (Al Hilal), Benzema (Al Ittihad), Firmino (Al Ahly/Al Sadd), Kante (Al Ittihad), Mahrez (Al Ahly) and Toni (Al Ahly). Wins 5 awards in La Liga
In addition to the Globe Soccer Awards, La Liga will present its 24/25 end-of-season awards during a gala on December 28th. Rafinha will be awarded as the best player, Hansi Flick as the best manager and Lamine Yamal as the breakthrough player. Luka Sucic (Real Sociedad) won the Goal of the Year award for his goal against Atlético in October, and Oblak will win the Award for the Best Save (in his case a double save) in the very same match.
