TThe Dolphins held their final practice session open to the media at Estadio Metropolitano ahead of their first official NFL game in Madrid on Sunday. Miami coach Mike McDaniel and Diego Pablo Simeone met at a Dolphins training session yesterday, and McDaniel revealed what they talked about in a press conference.
“It was shorter than we wanted. We talked about the salary cap (NFL) and how much salary a quarterback takes up within that cap. There aren’t a lot of good quarterbacks, so that’s a challenge,” McDaniel said in a press conference.
He later praised Simeone’s enthusiasm, calling him “the best in the business in his role”.
“I wish I had spent more time with him. You never know what direction the conversation will go. I feel very lucky to have spent even just a moment with him. He’s probably the best at that role in this business. It was fun for me. I wish I could have spoken Spanish.”

Cholo also talked about his curiosity and questions about the NFL. “He wants to know how many guys are on the team. 69 with 53 players and 16 from the practice squad. He thinks that’s incredible.”
“I’m surprised at the amount of games they have to prepare for.”
