RReal Madrid will be away from La Liga’s Bernabéu for the first time in a month. Los Blancos have not won in Vallecas since 2022, so Xabi Alonso’s side will have a tricky fixture against Rayo Vallecano. Ahead of the game, the Basque manager spoke to the media in a press conference and firmly answered questions about the defeat at Anfield, the visit to the Vallecas neighborhood and the unknowns in the starting XI.
“This visit was tough because Rajo is in good form and the last few visits have been tough. Last year we drew, but a lot happened. We are preparing for a match with intensity and rhythm and it will demand a lot from us. Every match is the most important and we will go in with that mentality.”

“He is ready. He has been training for a few weeks and tomorrow we will know whether he will be in the starting lineup. Fede has played very well as a full-back, given his circumstances. We know his attitude and ability. He is always willing to help the team and is an option in the short and medium term.”

Rayo Vallecano and Igo Perez
“They have a great team and a great coach. They have given him continuity and he knows how to play well. We will have to be very mature. There will be no easy moments. I look at their team. He took over from Iraola. The team is clear about things and is doing very well. I like his personality.”
