The club did not communicate the decision until Thursday, but the Argentine manager explained that everything had been “agreed for some time” despite “noise” around the Argentine star.
Mascherano added that it “made sense” to sign Messi to stay in the team before the play-offs started
The team’s defense was very strong.
The coach said of today’s game, “The team was very solid defensively,” and that they “controlled the Nashville players very well.” Coach Mascherano praised his opponents, pointing out that “they have a way and a way of playing that can do a lot of damage” if they are not in the block.
Still, the Argentine believes there is “a lot of room for improvement” and believes “we need everyone” to win the title this season.
Nashville will host the next game in the series on Nov. 1, at the same field where Inter Miami won 5-2 a week ago.
