Omar Bravo is in the news this week, not precisely because of his past as a footballer, but because he is in preventive detention due to serious charges. The former Chivas de Guadalajara striker was charged with aggravated child sexual abuse and was arrested by police on October 4 as investigators continue to gather further background information.
After a meeting between journalist Ahatsiri Cárdenas and the victim’s legal representative, details of the incident were made public, sparking controversy in Mexico and the world. It has been revealed that Bravo’s female partner (the victim’s mother) stated that she did not know about the incident until her daughter told her about that day.

Photos that could bring a sudden turn in the Omar Bravo case
Omar Bravo’s sister has revealed images that could be helpful to the former football player and disprove certain things. The photo posted on Instagram is of Omar with his sister and other people. Interestingly, that date is May 10, 2019, which is the date of the accusations against Bravo, according to the complaint Bravo received.
“He was in Los Mochis with me and my family. We have photos, reservations, boarding passes, witnesses. He even allowed an expert to check my phone to confirm the dates,” Omar Bravo’s sister Daniela explained.

The former Chivas striker’s sister, Daniela Bravo, held a press conference to defend Omar and explain the main points of the lawsuit.
Among the points raised, Daniela commented that the uncle of the girl who filed the complaint was already having problems with Omar after he defrauded him of P6 million, and that this debt was due a year before the abuse began.
“There is no doubt that this is an economic issue. Omar has been supporting this family for years and was defrauded. He lent them about 6 million pesos of money and they never paid back,” Daniela Bravo explains, hoping that certain things will be clarified.
