tThe 2025 edition of the ESPY Awards took place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on July 16th. There, sporting figures gathered to learn about last year’s best moments, iconic moments, outstanding performances and an unforgettable comeback. The Gala was hosted by comedian Shane Gillis.
Since its founding in 1993, the ESPY Award has been hosted by ESPN, celebrating the best athletes and teams of the year, recognizing touching moments on and off the field. Since 2004, journalists, sports executives and ESPN numbers have joined the public vote when selecting winners.
The edition had the spotlight on athletes like Shohei Ohtani, who failed to participate in the MLB All-Star Game, as well as athletes like Paris Olympics, Caaitlin Clark, WNBA Sensation and Simone Biles, who once again shined at Saquon Barkley, with multiple nominations at Saquon Barkley.
