Michael Olise’s future has been a hot topic throughout the summer transfer window, with Liverpool joining Bayern Munich as clubs hoping to sign him.
Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund has told Liverpool to forget about signing Michael Olise as he “plans” to play in Germany again next season. Oliseh, 24, is heavily linked with a move to Liverpool as they look for a wide forward to replace Mo Salah.
Real Madrid are also interested in signing the Frenchman, who was excellent at the World Cup. Olise had a great season at Bayern, registering seven assists in eight games.
The winger scored 48 goals and provided an assist in 52 games as Vincent Kompany’s side cruised to the Bundesliga title and won the DFB Pokal. No wonder Bayern want to keep Olise and are reportedly preparing to offer him a big-money new contract.
But as for the immediate future, Freund is relaxed. Asked specifically about Real’s interest and claims that Oliseh is keen to join Los Blancos, the Bayern manager said: “This is not a problem for us at all.

“We are happy that Michael is back from his break. He will play an important role for FC Bayern this season, just as he did last season.”
Freund spoke after his young Bayern side lost 2-1 to third-tier Wehen Wiesbaden in a friendly. Big stars such as Olise and Harry Kane are expected to feature in the second half of pre-season.
Last month, it was reported that Real had made a bid of £130m for Olise. However, the Spanish giants issued a statement saying they had no “direct or indirect” relationship with the 24-year-old.

“Real Madrid would also like to underline the excellent institutional relationship it maintains with Bayern Munich, with whom it shares a long history of mutual respect, cooperation and admiration, and regrets the spread of speculation that does not reflect reality,” reads part of the statement.
Given Bayern’s strong stance, Liverpool and Real are under pressure to identify a replacement for Oliseh. One of them is RB Leipzig’s Yann Diomande, for whom Real are said to have made a bid of £85m this week.
Leipzig have rejected the offer and are demanding a transfer fee of at least £100m. Liverpool are also eyeing Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola and Monaco’s Magnes Akurios to strengthen Andoni Iraola’s squad.
