Jeremy Jacquet completed his move to Liverpool earlier this summer after reaching an agreement in January, but it looks like his new teammates are already making an impression.

Jeremy Jaquet says his new Liverpool team-mate Jeremy Frimpong is “crazy” after opening up about a move to Anfield. The defender officially completed his move to Merseyside this summer after the Reds agreed a move for him in January.
The 21-year-old could make his debut for his new club during a busy pre-season schedule. Jacquet, who has already been at Liverpool for several weeks, spoke about the welcome he has received and his new team-mates.
He told Stan Sports: “Yes, so far everything has gone very well. They have welcomed me very warmly and I am getting to know them better with each passing day.”
“It depends…I try to take the time to get to know everyone,” Jaquet added of the teammates he knows best.
“But I spend a lot of time talking to Trey (Nyoni) and Leo (Giovanni Leoni). Of course I also chat a lot with Hugo (Ekitike). But I chat with everyone else. I also talk to Jeremy (Frimpong) a lot. He’s crazy, by the way!”
Jaquet also left a special mention to Liverpool supporters ahead of his debut campaign. “Yes, we have received a lot of messages from our fans and I would like to thank them. I was already receiving quite a few messages before I arrived at the club, so I really appreciate them.”
Jaquet could make his debut for Liverpool on Saturday night, when the Reds face Premier League rivals Sunderland.

New manager Andoni Iraola has already spoken about the young defender and believes he is ready to make an immediate impact at Anfield.
“Jeremy was a player I knew well before he signed for Liverpool. He is still young and I think he has all the tools needed for the position,” the Spaniard said last week.
“He also came into the last months of the[past]season with a shoulder injury, but he has fully recovered. He is already training with the U21 team. He has been ready from the start.”
Following the match against Sunderland, Liverpool have further games against Wrexham, Leeds, Monaco and Como. They begin their 2026/27 Premier League campaign against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle at St James’ Park.
