New referee camera footage has been released showing Jude Bellingham slamming the referee’s “shocking decision” after England’s defeat to Argentina.

The Three Lions’ World Cup dreams were dashed as La Albiceleste came from behind to book their place in the final. Argentina continued to commit fouls throughout the match, much to England’s frustration.

Moroccan-born United States referee Ismail Elfs faced considerable scrutiny before kickoff after he was labeled as Lionel Messi’s favorite referee.

Argentina committed 12 fouls in the first half against England, but only received one yellow card. Bellingham was dragged in four times as he tried to fight back.

It was clear that the Stourbridge-born midfielder was frustrated by Argentina’s attacking tactics, who tried to stop them by any means necessary. Bellingham told the referee exactly what he thought after the full-time whistle.

The Real Madrid star was clearly furious at the way the match was handled. In the reflex camera footage, Bellingham can be seen shaking Elfs’ hand and saying, “Some things were shocking, but everything was great.”

During the match, Bellingham was also seen having a lively conversation with Argentina captain Messi. However, he downplayed their post-game interaction,

“Chitchat with Messi? Actually, we were arguing about a foul. It wasn’t anything serious. I think everyone would make a fuss about it, but it was nothing,” Bellingham said.

“I thought there was a foul earlier, and he said, “How about if I got fouled?”

“And I said, ‘You’re tough enough to take it,’ you know what I mean.”

Bellingham scored his seventh goal of the tournament in stunning style and grabbed England’s sixth in a thrilling 6-4 victory over France in the third-place match. In doing so, he etched his name in history as the first Englishman to score seven goals in one World Cup.

Meanwhile, Argentina lost to Spain 0-1 in the World Cup final. Ugly scenes broke out after the final whistle, with several Argentinian players causing a scuffle, throwing punches and violently clashing with their Spanish opponents.
