Shocking footage of two England Under-16 players fighting in a hotel room has gone viral on social media, forcing the FA to issue a statement in response.

The Football Association was forced to issue a statement after a video of a brawl between England’s young players in a hotel room went viral on social media.
A 58-second video was released on Wednesday that shows the two boys fighting while being filmed and encouraged by their teammates. The violent brawl, with punches and kicks flying, is made even more shocking by the official English clothing worn by the boys.
One version of the video has been viewed 12.4 million times since it was posted online Wednesday. The footage shows one of the boys pushing the other boy to the bed while holding his neck, before punching him.
The attackers are kicked away and the fight continues with one man putting the other into a headlock. Those watching encouraged the fight and could be heard laughing, saying things like “fuck you” and “shut the door.”
The FA has now confirmed that the clip is genuine and shows England Under-16 players. An FA spokesperson said: “We were made aware of the internal matter during the U-16 camp in October 2025.” “It was quickly resolved at that time.”
The video sparked widespread criticism, with many commenters expressing surprise that no one else present tried to intervene.
England’s U16 squad traveled to Türkiye in October and November last year, playing against Türkiye, Wales and Portugal. They are coached by Barry Loutas, who previously worked at Liverpool’s academy for 12 years.
