If Thomas Tuchel’s side defeat Argentina in the semi-finals, they could face England in the final round of the British Open Championship, who will face them in the World Cup final on Sunday.

The R&A have reportedly discussed the possibility of playing World Cup finalists England in the final round of the British Open Championship. Tournament organizers are said to be delaying a decision on possible tee time changes until the Three Lions play Argentina in the semi-finals.
A win on Wednesday will see England reach their second World Cup final. Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm BST, with the play-off potentially overlapping.
The first group typically tees off five and a half hours early at 2:30 p.m. However, that time may be brought forward to accommodate.
However, it’s not a huge change. The Daily Mail, citing R&A sources, claims the difference is less than an hour. Tournament broadcasters NBC and Sky will reportedly discuss the possibility of changing the schedule if necessary.
The possibility of a conflict was acknowledged by R&A chief executive Mark Darbon earlier this year. “We are aware that other events will occur on that date (July 19),” he said in late April.
“Obviously there are things we can’t control when it comes to play-offs and things like that, but we’ll try to avoid conflicts. I think we’re all looking forward to the final between England and Scotland, so we’ll see how it goes.”

The Three Lions are one game away from keeping their end of the bargain. However, Scotland failed to advance to the final round and were eliminated early.
England reaching the semi-finals for the fourth time in their history means they are guaranteed two more games in America. If they lose in the semi-finals, they will play in the third-place match against France or Spain, whichever team they did not win.
However, their chances of taking part in that match are of little interest to R&A, as the match is scheduled to start at 10pm (BST). Therefore, there will be no clash with Saturday’s third game.

In England’s press conference before their quarter-final against Norway, the topic of golf came up when Harry Kane talked about playing with Donald Trump in Florida 18 months ago. He said: “To be honest, I played okay.
“When I was in Palm Beach, he invited me to play. Yeah, when the president invites you somewhere… it was a pretty surreal experience just to meet him and obviously play golf together.
