Which players have been given yellow cards in the World Cup?

Tournament card rules: According to the rules for this summer’s World Cup, any player who receives two yellow cards before the quarter-finals will automatically receive a one-match suspension. These warnings will be removed after the group stage and will be removed again after the quarter-finals to protect players in the lead-up to the final. 17-man list: A total of 17 international players will face disciplinary action heading into the last eight tie. Those players who received a reservation for the next round will be completely excluded from participating in the semi-finals if their country advances. England’s disciplinary headache: Thomas Tuchel’s side are brimming with confidence following a breathtaking 3-2 win over Mexico, but several of the first-team’s key regulars are still facing damaging suspensions for one more ill-timed challenge. It has now been confirmed that four of England’s biggest stars will join the watch list as they prepare to face Norway on Saturday night. Declan Rice: As the main holding midfielder, the Arsenal man is frequently called upon to neutralize opposition counter-attacks. He is one spot away from being suspended for the semi-finals, meaning he will have to choose his moments carefully against Norway. Jude Bellingham: Real Madrid’s talisman will be crucial to England’s progress, but he will go into the next game with a potentially costly yellow card. Bellingham has produced some scintillating performances so far and has forged a destructive partnership with Harry Kane. Nico O’Reilly: The promising Manchester City youngster has unexpectedly found himself on a suspension watchlist alongside his far more experienced international colleagues. If he is booked for the next game in Miami, it would be a devastating blow to a landmark World Cup campaign. Marc Guehi: The Man City defender is equally at risk of being ruled out of the semi-finals if he receives another yellow card. What’s even better is that your reservation will be completely erased after the semi-finals. This means that a caution for that match does not carry the risk of suspension from the finals. International stars at risk: The list of 17 players extends far beyond the England camp and includes some prominent names from competing nations. Prominent players including Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi and Swiss captain Granit Xhaka find themselves in exactly the same precarious position as the tournament continues to pick up pace. Read more: Will Declan Rice be suspended for the England World Cup quarter-finals after receiving a second yellow against Mexico?

Full list of 17 players at risk of suspension from the World Cup semi-finals:
