Bayern Munich’s French star Michael Olisse has been linked with a sensational move to Real Madrid this summer, with the Spanish side commenting on their apparent interest.
Real Madrid have confirmed they are not in contract negotiations with Bayern Munich star Michael Oliseh. The Frenchman has been linked with a surprise move to the Bernabéu this summer.
Recent reports suggest that they are offering a sensational £190m to sign him. It has also been suggested that Real are willing to offer either Aurelian Choameni or Eduardo Camavinga in a part-exchange offer.
Real have spoken out amid continued speculation and confirmed that no talks have taken place. The Spanish giants said in a statement on Saturday: “Following reports in various media that the club may be interested in Bayern Munich’s Michael Oliseh, Real Madrid CF would like to state that it has not had any direct or indirect contact with the aforementioned player, his agent or anyone in his entourage.”
“Real Madrid would also like to underline the excellent institutional relationship it maintains with Bayern Munich, with whom it shares a long history of mutual respect, cooperation and admiration, and regrets the spread of speculation that does not correspond to reality.
“The two clubs have always maintained a relationship based on trust and mutual respect, which is reflected, inter alia, in their shared belief that, in accordance with the principles of institutional loyalty that have historically governed the relationship between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, any potential interest in a player belonging to the other club must first be dealt with between the two clubs.”
Olise, 24, has been sensational since joining Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace, scoring 20 goals and providing a further 23 assists in his debut season. Last season, he took his performance to an even higher level, scoring 22 goals and 31 assists.
Olise’s contract with Bayern runs until the summer of 2029. It has recently been reported that the German giants are keen to offer him a new contract to counter the growing interest in the winger’s exploits.
In April, Bayern CEO Max Eberl emphasized the club’s position that they were not even considering the possibility of Olise leaving the Allianz Arena. He said, “Yes. I don’t have time to think about anything.”
Olise is currently playing for France at the World Cup, and he got off to a bright start as the 2022 runners-up, scoring two assists in Les Bleus’ 3-1 win over Senegal.
