Arsenal are hoping fellow England internationals Declan Rice and the Gunners star can help persuade Morgan Rodgers to commit to a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer. Mikel Arteta’s side are full of praise for the Aston Villa playmaker and have made signing the 23-year-old a top priority.
The Daily Mail reports that the Gunners are seeking help from Three Lions stars to persuade their international team-mates to link up with the Premier League champions. Both Arsenal and Chelsea are thought to be willing to negotiate around £85m, with Villa needing to release players to meet financial regulations.
That said, Unai Emery’s side have made it abundantly clear that Rodgers remains central to their plans for a return to the Champions League.

Villa are reportedly conscious of the rising cost of midfielders in today’s market, and must also factor in the 20 per cent sale fee agreed with Middlesbrough as part of their original move to Villa Park.
Rodgers has welcomed the changes to the Emirates Stadium and is keen to hear what the Premier League champions have on the table, according to reports.
Rice is reportedly showing his magic on international duty at the World Cup, with Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke also in England camp.

Arteta is said to be targeting four or five quality signings this summer as the Gunners hope to do even better next season and win the Champions League trophy.
Rodgers is at the top of Arsenal’s transfer wish list, with Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez also attracting the attention of the Gunners.
Sporting director Andrea Berta knows the Argentine striker well, having personally secured his contract for Atleti from Manchester City.

Arsenal have made a further offer for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzoris, with Alex Scott also emerging as a target for the north London club.
The Gunners have had to sell players themselves to find transfer business, with Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli all set to leave the club.
There is also a question mark over Ethan Nwaneri’s future at the club, with Christian Norgaard and Piero Hincapie reportedly also attracting interest.
