Manchester City defender Abdukkodir Kusanov and former Liverpool forward Luis Diaz were involved in a collision that left a World Cup photographer requiring medical assistance.
Medics rushed to the aid of an injured cameraman who was involved in a collision with Manchester City defender Abdukkodir Kusanov during the World Cup match between Colombia and Uzbekistan. The incident was caught live on TV 34 minutes into the game.
Kusanov was chasing the ball alongside Luis Diaz. The defender was second to the ball, so the two players collided, and Kusanov crashed into an unsuspecting cameraman.
The City defender quickly got back on his feet but was shown a yellow card for the challenge. However, the cameraman remained on the ground and appeared to be holding his feet until help arrived.

Medics immediately rushed to help me. No latest information has been released on the severity of the injury, but commentator Jackie Autry of American broadcaster FOX Sports provided an update on the second half of the game.
“For those wondering about the cameraman, he disappeared. He must have hurt his ankle really bad.”
The incident occurred minutes before Colombia took the lead in the 40th minute with Daniel Muñoz’s opening goal. Uzbekistan equalized in the second half with a goal from Abbosbek Faizulaev.
However, the score lasted only five minutes before Luis Diaz restored Colombia’s lead. Then, in the 9th minute of stoppage time, Hamington Campas gave Colombia three points.

As a result, Colombia took the lead in Group K following the 1-1 draw between Portugal and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The next matches in the group are Portugal vs. Uzbekistan (June 23rd, 6pm) and Colombia vs. Democratic Republic of the Congo (June 24th, 3am).
The incident with the cameraman wasn’t the only injury, Autry said co-commentator Warren Burton suffered a cut to the head after being hit by a flying bottle during the game. It has been confirmed that the former England international is safe.
