England aim to take advantage of all the time they spend together, right down to what they eat and drink, at this summer’s World Cup in America
England’s star players are hosting themed dinner parties and regular barbecues to liven up their World Cup camps. The Football Association brought in top chefs to oversee a variety of pizza meals following England’s sweltering victory over New Zealand in Tampa last weekend.
There are regular BBQs for lunch and dinner, and last Euro there were Italian, Chinese and Mexican themed nights.
Thomas Tuchel is also keen on outdoor dining. That’s because outdoor dining brings everyone together and helps team spirit, and FA experts believe it can also help with mental and cognitive recovery. We have everything from chicken to fish to meat to vegan and vegetarian options.
We are also shipping 1,000 Lucozade Elite pouches, which players use to refuel during matches, as the 350ml high-carbohydrate electrolyte drink helps refuel.
England players will have access to 5.7 million milliliters of Lucozade, including a high-tech special refueling drink, during matches.

Although Lucozade is an FA sponsor, FIFA is strict about branding and labelling, so specialist pouches made for the England team but not commercially available do not have stickers on them during refueling breaks.
The pouch is a recreation of a retro ad from the 1990s when John Barnes kicked a carton of isotonic drinks into the dressing room bin.
Jude Bellingham, who has recently spearheaded Lucozade’s camp, said: “Everything about preparation, hydration and nutrition has to be right so that you can perform consistently throughout the match. Proper preparation makes a big difference.”
Dr Chris Rosimas, the FA’s lead performance nutritionist, said: “As the game continues to evolve, our performance team is constantly looking at practical ways to support players in training and matches.
“Hydration, fueling, and recovery all play important roles, especially when players are operating in demanding schedules, difficult environments, and intense competition. One of the areas we investigated was how players can consume carbohydrates during competition.”
“The original Lucozade Sport pouch demonstrated how practical a squeezable liquid format can be, and that insight helped inspire an entirely new solution developed specifically for the demands of modern football.”
