Tottenham have already signed Andy Robertson, who left Liverpool, and Roberto De Zerbi is set to make a number of signings at the start of the summer.

Tottenham are set to continue their summer spree with the signing of Manchester City winger Sabinho.

Sabinho, valued at £50m, is set to move to London as Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi oversees a huge transfer fee to strengthen his squad.

Following this, Tottenham made a free transfer for Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson, giving them much-needed experience.

They have also agreed in principle to sign Bournemouth’s Argentinian centre-half Marcos Senesi, and Brighton’s bid for Jan Paul ven Hecke, valued at £70m, was also rejected, but negotiations continue.

Sabinho’s move highlights Tottenham’s meanness this summer, as the club hierarchy looks to completely rebuild a team that only avoided relegation on the final day of last season.

Savinho, 22, was targeted last summer but City resisted the move, hoping the Brazilian would also stay and compete for his place. However, City have their own rebuilding plans and Sabinho will press on to seal a deal, dreaming of a new adventure with Spurs.

There is strong interest in Matthijs Tell, but Cristian Romero is also likely to leave the club.

De Zerbi was delighted to be able to sign Robertson, as Spurs missed out on signing him prior to his arrival in January.

De Zerbi said of the left-back: “Andy is someone I have admired for many years and will bring outstanding technical qualities, experience, leadership and mentality to our team.”

“He has a long track record of winning at the highest level and is a player who can be a big player for us both on and off the pitch. I can’t wait to start working with him and see the positive impact he has on everyone around him.”

In a message delivered to supporters after last season’s disastrous campaign, Tottenham’s leaders promised a “complete reset” and a commitment to building a team capable of competing at the high end of English and European football.

As part of this, Tottenham promised fans that they will “invest over multiple transfer windows to rebuild, balance and strengthen, and this summer will be an important first step in that journey”.
