Arsenal are one of the elite teams to have a keen interest in Eli Junior Crupi following his sensational maiden season in the Premier League with Bournemouth.
Paris Saint-Germain are not thought to be aiming to sign Eli Junior Crupi this summer, but the news will be welcomed by Arsenal and the striker’s other high-profile suitors.
Crupi is a man in demand after an excellent first season in the Premier League, scoring 13 goals for Bournemouth. His goalscoring feat not only helped the Cherries win European football for the first time in the club’s history, but also saw the 19-year-old break the record for most goals scored by a teenager in his debut Premier League campaign.
Arsenal and PSG are said to be keenly interested in the Frenchman, as is Chelsea, but Bournemouth are thought to be reluctant to consider a sale for their prolific frontman.
However, there have been twists and turns, and Get French Football News reports that as things stand, Crupi is not a target for the newly-elected European champions.
PSG are still looking to strengthen their attack and one player they are targeting is RB Leipzig winger Yann Diomande, who also has an offer from Liverpool.
Arsenal also want to raise the level of their attack after narrowly missing out to PSG in the Champions League final and could swoop in for Crupi or another No. 9 just 12 months after paying a big fee to sign Victor Goqueres from Sporting Lisbon.
The Gunners are also targeting Morgan Rodgers to strengthen the left side of their attack, while both the Gunners and PSG would relish the chance to sign Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid. Alvarez is also highly sought after by Barcelona.
Crupi will offer Arsenal another attacking route, but reports suggest Bournemouth are determined to keep hold of the talented teenager for at least another season.
A record sixth place finish in the Premier League means European football will be available for the former Lorient striker next year.
The Cherries are already gearing up for a summer of change on the south coast with the arrival of Andoni Iraola. Soon-to-be Liverpool manager Marco Rose will be in charge, but he will be loath to lose key players so quickly during his reign. Bournemouth released Milos Kerkes, Dean Huyssen and Antoine Semenho last season.
