Arsenal teenager Josh Nicholls has confirmed he is leaving the club. The 19-year-old is set to leave north London and join Croatian club NK Kustošija.

Nicholls has been with the club since he was eight years old, but will leave two years after signing a professional contract with the Gunners. He confirmed the news on social media, saying: “It’s hard to explain in words what this club means to me.

“This is not just the team I played for. This is my second family, the place where I started at an early age, where I made lifelong memories and shared unforgettable moments with my brothers on and off the pitch.

“Over the past 10 years I have experienced the good, the bad, the victories, the disappointments and everything in between. Through it all, my love for this club has never changed.

“It has always been an honor to wear this badge and this club means so much to me that I have given it my all every time I step on the pitch.

“I would like to thank all my teammates, coaches, supporters and most importantly my family for making the last few years so special. I loved every moment.”
